About the Back Alley

The Back Alley is full of wild treasures for funky souls- a welcoming little spot that celebrates each and everyday!

After the new year celebrations of 2009 were winding down, Ines Norman shared her vision of a funky little art gallery with her neighbor JoAnn Meilner, JoAnn’s daughter Amy Talucci and Amy’s best friend, Kelley Burdette.  By March 6th the doors were open and the walls filled with the art from about 25 local artists.

Today you can find the Back Alley full of funky art, handmade gifts and great coffee as well as other tasty treats! We are the home to over 100 local artists work. Unique  jewelry, whimsical stained glass, paintings, handbags, clothing, pottery, folk art, recycled and repurposed peices of art and furniture cover every inch of the old house!

Until May of 2011, on almost any Friday night you could find the backyard filled with homegrown local music- anything from bluegrass to rockabilly or folk to acoustic singer songwriter gatherings.  In May 2011, we picked up shop and moved across the street to our new location.

Our coffee shop serves espresso creations either hot or cold, a regular cup of joe, frappes, island smoothies, frozen lemonade, as well as beer & wine. We offer simply delicious sandwiches, panini’s, wraps or other daily specials such as pizza, quesadillas or homemade soup.

We are confident you will enjoy any time spent in the alley!
